Bio

My name is Christian Perez and I am a Communication Design student at CityTech.

As a kid the advent of the internet was something so influential on my life. It provided me with a breadth of knowledge and more importantly entertainment. I grew up watching animations and videos on YouTube by people with talents I never thought people could possess before a professional career. People sharing their creativity in a datascape unsullied by corporate mandates and influence. It was a land of free expression, a place to hone your craft and learn from each other. It wasn’t long before I wanted to become a part of this world and give my contribution after being inspired by all this undiscovered talent. I’m also a fan of movies, more specifically the nuts and bolts of them. The editing, the cinematography, the writing, the acting. I felt like it was an all encompassing medium and I wanted in on it.

The years passed and my fixation to be a “creator” only pushed me into learning the tools I needed to be able to frame and tell my own stories. I want to share them with the world and have them be important to people, like how the videos and movies I grew up watching were important to me.

Right now I’m furthering my education in this department after being mostly self taught, to gain the knowledge and expertise to make creating a career. My goals are to enter the field of either 2D or 3D animation and bring things to life and entertain anyone who’s gracious enough to watch whatever I make.
