Bio

Greetings everyone, my name is Abdul Haq and I am currently an Undergraduate Student and Registered Nurse. I have been fortunate enough to be selected to be in the Honors Society in the Baccalaureate Program in my major, which is awarded to students that scored in the top 35% of their class academically. I have also been selected to be in the Honors Scholars Program in my General Biology II course, which is granted to students with a cumulative index of a 3.4 or higher. I intend to continue taking Premedical courses and to continue acquire clinical experience for my future goals.
I have a goal of becoming a clinician whether through the Nurse Practitioner or the Osteopathic Medical route. I believe that my experience of working with pediatric and geriatric populations in the community as a Professional Registered Nurse and my knowledge of the Biomedical Sciences and Osteopathic philosophy will be invaluable in shaping me to be a competent clinician.

BioMedical Informatics Student Club

The Biomedical Informatics (BIB) Student club exists to advocate, provide support and services to fellow Biomedical Informatics undergraduate students here at New York City College of Technology. We aim to assist students in gaining opportunities and discovering information that is relevant and beneficial towards the degree requirement of the program. Through the expansion of knowledge, workshops, field trips and invited speakers, we hope to give students the option to network and attain skills required for classes including the internship. This is a student-run club which is advised by faculty members, Professor Eugenia Giannopoulou and Professor Mai Zahran.
