Sustainable Design and Analysis

Arpan is a Sustainability Manager at YR&G with experience assisting clients with setting building performance goals to evaluate and optimize design solutions. Arpan works closely with architectural practices to provide design and technical guidance using the latest methods in building energy and daylight simulation as well as analysis-driven parametric and building information modeling (BIM). Arpan holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State and an Master of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology from an interdisciplinary program focused on simulation in mechanical engineering. Arpan is an Adjunct Lecturer at CUNY’s New York College of Technology and is working with the CUNY Research Foundation to support development of new curriculum on building science and sustainability. He lectures at Columbia’s School of Continuing Education and leads the New York chapter of the International Building Performance Simulation Association.
