HSCI 2200 Safety for Health Care
An introduction to current safety standards and regulations in the health care environment.
This course provides an introduction to health promotion and disease prevention strategies within the US healthcare system. Students will gain an appreciation of common determinants of health and prevalent risk factors. Through application of the health models, such as BEINGS (Biology, Environment, Immunology, Nutrition, Genetics, Social), students will gain an understanding of the functional aspects of health care.
