We are an outdoor digital signage hardware solution provider located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. I am reaching out as we are seeking interns for Winter 2022 that can handle the following areas in our company and will eventually lead to part-time employment:

Winter 2022 Internship


Details:
• Period: January 10, 2022 – February 25, 2022
• Work Hours: 8:30am – 12:00pm, 1:00pm – 4:30pm (Morning shift/ Afternoon shift)
• Hours per week: Minimum of 8 shifts per week

Focus Areas:

  • Hardware Assembly: Electronics component assembly, computer integration, wiring/cabling, and enclosure/glasses integration
  • Tech Support: Digital signage commissioning/provisioning, HMB review, communication program, and tech support manuals
  •  Compliance: Engineering documentation, and hardware/software engineering
  • Logistics: Trade procedure, warehouse management, and inventories


Requirements:
• COVID-19 vaccination cards (fully vaccinated)
• Available to commute to the Brooklyn Navy Yard
• Excellent Communication: English verbal and writing communication
• Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel experience, computer graphics, PDF editing
• Available to work +30 hours per week for next 6 months (Seeking part-time employment after finishing 8-week internship program)
• US Citizen or working permit to work in USA

Innovation Boot Camp: Submissions by March 30, 2022: 2022 Community College Innovation Challenge (CCIC)

Do you know a student with an entrepreneurial spirit and an interest in STEM?

The American Association of Community Colleges, in partnership with the National Science Foundation, is inviting community college students to participate in the 2022 Community College Innovation Challenge (CCIC). 

The CCIC is a national competition where teams of community college students work with a faculty or administrator mentor to use science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to innovate solutions to real-world problems, receive full travel support to attend an Innovation Boot Camp in the Washington, DC, metro area, and compete for cash awards. 

The Innovation Boot Camp provides professional development, mentoring, and coaching sessions to build strategic communication and entrepreneurial skills to help students advance their innovations in both the public and private sectors. The Boot Camp culminates in a poster session and engagement opportunity with STEM leaders and Congressional stakeholders, and a pitch presentation in front of a panel of industry professionals to determine the first, second, and third place winning teams.

Diverse and interdisciplinary teams that include students in STEM, business, humanities, and other fields are encouraged to apply.
