Overall, the course strengthens professional development, career readiness, and a deeper understanding of the fashion industry.
For this semester I was Student Intern at a nonprofit called Bronx Fashion Week in Bronx, New York. During my time at Bronx Fashion Week I coordinated community outreach efforts by calling and emailing sponsors to secure potential partnerships, collaborations, and community support for nonprofit fashion events. Managed and supervised volunteers during community outreach initiatives, ensuring smooth event operations and effective team communication. Communicated with fashion designers and industry professionals to schedule meetings and coordinate event planning with supervisors and leadership staff. Lastly, I supported nonprofit event operations through professional correspondence, engagement, and administrative coordination for upcoming fashion and community programs.
