Please note that our next exam will be on Monday, April 6. It will be on ZOOM meeting. Please make sure that you have a device to share your video and you can submit your exam on Blackboard when you finish.

Monday, March 30 and Wednesday April 1, I will have office hours during class time (2:00-3:40) using Blackboard Collaborate Ultra. Please take the opportunity to prepare for the exam 2 which will be on Monday, April 6 (on ZOOM)

• In today’s class we covered Chapter 4.1 Related Rates. Please see Homework Assignment 13 for the homework. The notes is posted in Blackboard “Information”.
• The Syllabus and the Calendar are updated. Note that the next distant learning class is April 6. The major change in the syllabus is the addition of oral component to the exams.
• On March 30 and April 1, there is no official teaching. I will use the class time to host extra office hours. It will be on Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.
• We will have our second exam on April 6. The review sheet will be posted on Blackboard “Information” by this Saturday. The Exam will be in ZOOM

• Today’s class will be on Blackboard using “Blackboard Collaborate Ultra”. You can find the link in “Content”. Please click the session for today “3/23 Monday class”. The link will open 15 minutes before the class.
• Class plan:
  1. Answering questions from homework.
  2. New lecture on “Logarithmic differentiation”. The lecture note will be posted on Blackboard in “Information”->”Class Notes”after the class.
  3. Updated policies on homework, attendance and exams.

Please log on to Blackboard today and find “Blackboard Collaborate Ultra” in the course “Content”. And then join the session today at 2:00pm. We will try this system today.

Please check if you can log on to your Blackboard account and see our course “MAT 1475 D611”. Since we start to learn remotely, I will use some features that Blackboard has including submitting homework and see your grades.

I will also run office hours on Blackboard using “Blackboard Collaborate Ultra” on Monday 3/16 during the class time. I will let you know the details how to use it, but for now please make sure you can log on to Blackboard. Thank you.
