You can find the review sheet under “Assignments,” “Exam study sheets.”
Hi class, I am ill and can’t teach today. I hope to post a study sheet for the final exam review later today. I recommend filling that out in preparation for Thursday’s class.
Best,
Dr. M
Hi Class–
Just a quick reminder that we will do an analytical outline entry in class this Tuesday. Be sure to read the article carefully ahead of time.
See you then!

Dear Class,
The school requires me to post midterm marks on Brightspace. You can see them under the “Grades” tab, under “Midsemester grades.” These scores are based on a calculation of the percentage of points you have earned on the total points available so far, to this point in the semester. This includes all of the grades earned in the first half of the class: your participation grade for the first half of the semester, your philosophical journals to date, and two unit exams. You can see the marks and their meaning below:
P: Passing. 65-100%
BL: Borderline. 55-65%
U: Unsatisfactory <55%
SA: stopped attending
These grades reflect your performance on only the 50% of the course that has been graded so far, so that means that 50% of the grade is still to be determined. If your grade is not where you want it, please note that there is still time to make major improvements.
Additionally, I have also posted a Midsemester Participation grade. This is your grade for the Participation portion of your grade in the first half of the semester.. You can see details about how I calculate this grade on the “Assignment Overview” page.
Best,
Dr. M
My talk that was planned for earlier has been RESCHEDULED to this Thursday, 3/26, at 1pm. This talk will only be on Zoom–you can click on the link in the poster to attend! I would love to see some of you there.

Hi Class,
I’m giving a talk at City Tech on a health care ethics topic this Thursday. I would love it if some of my students showed up! But no pressure, I know all of you are very busy.
Please note, you can join by Zoom by clicking the link in the poster!
Best,
Dr. M
Please be sure to carefully read (and attempt to understand!) the assigned reading for the class. Please also review the format for an Analytical Outline Entry. See you Tuesday!

The title says it all!
Hi Class–
CUNY has decided to hold classes online again tomorrow. That means we will be meeting via Zoom rather than in person.
The Zoom invitation for our class is in Brightspace. You will find further instructions there too. Stay safe, see you tomorrow!
Best,
Dr. M
