A new growth area in urban agriculture?
The OpenLab is an open-source, digital platform designed to support teaching and learning at City Tech (New York City College of Technology), and to promote student and faculty engagement in the intellectual and social life of the college community.
LEDs definitely help to bring the cost of lighting an aquaponics farm down. Full spectrum lighting was very expensive to use.
I believe it is possible to have aquaponic farms provide healthful food on a large scale as innovation pushes to find more resourceful ways to run an aquaponics farm. Unfortunately, only individuals that can afford the higher food pricing will be able to benefit from it.
Hopefully, it introduces more competition therefore making the food more competitively priced.
