OVERVIEW: The purpose of this lesson was for students to be able to analyze and recognize the elements of art. This lesson uses variety of images which are samples of how each element of art is used. The technology incorporated in this lesson, besides the use of graphic design programs, includes the use of Kahoot. Kahoot is a free game-based learning platform for teachers to use and I used Kahoot to assess what the students had learn. It allowed me to analyze how their views changed; if they did or didn’t, but also allowed engagement between the students when various answers were given and they were asked to explain why they noticed one element over the other.
