One thing that’s been hard for me during the pandemic is being productive. Everything being online for example, school, made me lazy in a way because I would feel like that was my only responsibility and didn’t have to do anything after that. Freshman year in college was the hardest for me because that was when covid was more severe and I wasn’t used to going to school online. I would become very forgetful of my assignments because it was online. Another obstacle I had that has to do with being productive is procrastination. This was one of the main reasons why I wasn’t as successful as I wanted to be during my freshman year in college. Not only did this have to do with school but as well as my everyday life tasks.

Realizing that this pandemic wasn’t going to go away anytime soon, I decided to get a job in order to help with my procrastination and laziness. I decided to work at a place that I know would require me to work fast pace while also helping customers. This helped me gain energy in a way because I had no choice but to have energy. Also, having a job helped me with my procrastination because having a job, you really need to be good with time or else you’ll be late most of the time. Something I have learned about myself during this process is not being lazy and procrastinating all the time made me grow as a person. Before getting a job, I was a super shy person and was also afraid of taking public transportation alone. Having a job that doesn’t provide me with a set schedule, in other words, my schedule isn’t the same every week, didn’t give me the excuse to ask my parents to take me to work so I was obligated to take the bus and train. I eventually got over my fear of being alone.

  1. I agree with you that Freshman year of college was also hard for me because I didn’t know know how to join classes and how to sign up for classes. I had no interaction with no classmates or teachers and no help from school. I found freshman a waste year of my college career because it was fully online and I was new to college and I didn’t know what to do. So I found myself lazy, not motivated and unproductive.

  2. No interactions with anyone first semester of college was rough somehow i was able to make a couple of friends and even got to meet them a couple of times but even then i wish it was everyday. Laziness did creep up alot but i had to dig deep and motivate myself to do more and push my limits

  3. Lots of good detail and description in Par. 2 — Good job there!
In Par One–try to express more clearly what was the ONE thing. Was it procrastination? Was it being productive? Was it being lazy? Pin it down to the ONE thing and then if that leads to another thing, then you must explain clearly the connection. I am asking you to analyze yourself and find the ONE thing that was hardest in the pandemic.
