intro–jennifer

My name is Jennifer and I’m 19 years old. I’ve been at city tech for 2 years now, this is my second semester. I’m currently majoring in Health Science but I’m planning on switching to Radiology and Medical imaging. I’m Dominican and fluent in Spanish. Growing up I only spoke Spanish because that’s the only language my grandma knew. As I got older, living with my mom and her barely speaking Spanish I got used to speaking English and now I’m fluent in both languages. During my free time, I love spending time with my family.

I also have a job at Pink and honestly, it made me step out of my comfort zone because it’s a job that requires you to speak with every single customer. I’m still a shy person but it’s not as bad as it was before I started working there.

During the summertime, I love playing baseball and basketball with my cousins and brother. I absolutely love exploring as well and trying out different restaurants. I started this new thing where my friend and I try different food spots every time we meet and it’s so fun.

  1. Hello Jennifer, I also grew up speaking mainly Spanish. Just like you as I got older I started to speak fluent English because of school, etc. Was it easy transitioning from Spanish to English or did you find it somewhat difficult? I see you like going out to restaurants, what’s your favorite kind of food? One of my favorites is definitely rice and chicken. I hope to hear more about the things you like to do and eat in the near future.

  2. Hey Jennifer i grew up in a spanish speaking household but never really picked up on it. I have a question for and i wanted to ask how was your first year at this school was it difficult or was it easy? I like Italian dishes especially pasta like angel hair or rigatoni.

  3. Wow Jennifer — you must be a foodie! It’s fun to try new foods — to be “adventurous in eating.” THat was one of my mom’s favorite sayings.

And working at Pink sounds like a cool job. I imagine you get good discounts!
