Mentor Text Analysis of open letter Esha

In the article “Its O.k. Not To Be O.k.” by Naomi Osaka the hook is very catchy. The author wrote the lessons that she learned throughout her life. She had a title that caught my attention and explains the whole article in that title. The audience would be the public, and the people that want to learn these key lessons. The message she put out was that you can’t help please everyone in this world and she wrote down all the lessons in like a paragraph. The author wrote her own experience that she felt throughout her life she is a professional tennis player and her journey took an unexpected turn that made her write these key lessons. She ended this by writing a sentence that is motivitonal and helpful to the people that are facing problems.

What does this mean? “the hook is very catchy.” You write this every time. In fact you are just stating what a hook is. It is a way to catch the audience’s attention. I am asking you to analyze WHY starting off with TWO lessons she has learned is so catchy. So WHY? THAT IS WHAT YOU MUST ANALYZE.

So my answer would be that Osaka hooks the reader by stating TWO lessons that are basic truths. The fact that you cannot please everyone and that everyone has mental issues are basic truths about any human being. And the fact that she is a superstar tennis player makes her NO different.

You have left out some of the questions from the instructions. Your analysis is too short. There is much to do when you are analyzing. YOU MUST THINK HARDER AND DEEPER.

For example you should be able to tell me: What exactly is her message?
