As I start to read HW 4 Source Entry for our practice article “Why Schools Kill Curiosity,” I want to put out a gentle reminder on academic dishonesty.
I copy here from City Tech’s Official Academic Integrity Policy:
Forms of Academic Dishonesty
- Plagiarism is the act of presenting another person’s ideas, research or writings as your own. This means that even getting an idea from someone else and then putting it in your own words – this is still plagiarism.
- Internet plagiarism includes submitting downloaded term papers or parts of term papers, paraphrasing or copying information from the internet without citing the source, and “cutting and pasting” from various sources without proper attribution.
Professors are instructed to file a Faculty Action Report (FAR) form to report Cases of Academic Dishonesty.
Please do your own writing. I value student's own writing even with imperfections over slick sounding sentences that are not in your own voice and words or phrasing cobbled together from AI generated sources. I know you will take this seriously, as I do.
