At the community level, for the last few years I have been a volunteer for SOAR Experiences, “a not-for profit organization offering experiences, education and charitable opportunities
promoting outdoor recreation to guests with mobility impairments.”
At the beginning of 2025, I started serving as a volunteer firefighter in the town where I live. Over the summer I completed a four-week training program and earned both NYS and national firefighter certifications.
