Hello LivingMath World

Here is our first post.  I’m just editing the default “Hello World!” post that OpenLab puts up when you create a new site.

Here are the links to the other OpenLab groups associated with Living Lab–we should all join these as well:

Also here is the 3rd Year Fellows site as well, which Jonas is involved in running, in case you want to poke around that.

Suman, This is great! The picture came out well too.

This work with our students is inter-disciplinary in nature. This also includes assessment. If you are interested you can check this out. If the link does not work, just copy and paste it in the web browser.

The following article published in the Focus magazine of Mathematical Association of America (MAA) reflected my collaborative work in Bio-Math connected problems. Some of these projects are incorporated in my statistics (MAT1272) classroom. If you are interested, you can check this out.

  4. Hi Urmi, thanks for posting the links! Though I wonder if it makes sense to move such posts to the Discussion forums (i.e., http://openlab.citytech.cuny.edu/groups/livingmath-mathematics-in-a-living-laboratory/forum/)? And/or do separate posts here on the blog? Otherwise I feel like they will get buried here..

E.g., I created a Discussion topic titled “Collaborative Learning” so that we can discuss that there, and tried to kick things off by posting the link to an MAA note that looks useful: http://openlab.citytech.cuny.edu/groups/livingmath-mathematics-in-a-living-laboratory/forum/topic/collaborative-learning/
