Post Reflection

After visiting the Farragut Houses I have a better idea of the layout of the neighborhood and what the area is really like. Not only observing and sketching but observing the people who live there, what personalities do they have and how is the community there overall. Though the building itself was nothing special the neighborhood has interesting history about the development of the area over the past few decades.

After leaving Farragut houses, i had different perspectives about the area. i moved to New York 10 years ago and never would i think there was project houses in Dumbo. the Farragut house are looks pretty quiet, From the other side of Farragut is vinegar hill which is the actual picture of Dumbo through everybody minds, because there aren’t really anything there but small houses and business that looks under construction, and old buildings from late 50’s that were renovating. i was impress about Farragut houses because the way it shielded off vinegar hill side, it is more on the other side and it seems like resident from that side don’t really know about vinegar hill side. i was wondering if Farragut houses had a community on the property, and off the property and how do these people survive. i answered a few questions i had and some were still unanswered.
