Hello class,
This is just a reminder that your 3rd test will be on Monday, May 5, 2025. You will not receive a test paper unless you submit your cell phone and smartwatch (if you have one).
You will be allowed to use a calculator.
I am enclosing a sample test (Note: it has been updated) for you to work on in preparation for the test. It is by no means comprehensive and it is not the same as the test. Some things might get moved around /altered in the process. (Note: You’d be surprised how many of your classmates will think that this is actually the test, but it’s not).

Hello class,
Maybe you’ve noticed that your old WeBWorK sections have been reopened with a due date of April 21, 2025. This is intentional and to help you boost your WeBWorK grade. Remember that WeBWorK counts for 15% of your grade. That is equivalent to one test grade. Also, if you complete at least 90% (Let me make this clear, this will not happen if you only get to 89.99%) of your WeBWorK, then you will receive a 100% overall for your WeBWorK grade.
After the 21st, the WeBWorK will be extended until the end of the semester, except the scoring will be reduced.

Hello all,
This is usually the worst post I have to write up every semester.
Before you do anything, make sure you check your grade book here.
Just a reminder, the final date to OFFICIALLY WITHDRAW from a course with a grade of W is Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Not attending the course is not equivalent to withdrawing from a course; it only results in a WU grade, which is equivalent to an F. If you fail the course, it stays on your transcript and adversely affects your GPA. An F grade at the end of the semester will not be erased and will be combined with the grades of your other classes. With a W, CUNY and City Tech will treat it as if you had never attended the class- no harm no foul.
However, it should be noted that a WU on a transcript looks even worse than an F in some cases – as it shows that you could have done something to fix your situation, but it appears to someone (perhaps a job recruiter of some sort) that you were irresponsible enough to not do something about it when the option was available to you.
I understand that some of you are also taking classes that have this math class as a prerequisite or corequisite. If you are passing that other class, you might want to consider staying in this class if it allows you to keep passing the other class, but just speak with all departments involved to make sure that this is the best decision for you.
Note: NYCCT will NOT be doing Credit / No Credit this semester. If you haven’t been attending class, you need to withdraw as soon as possible.
Just be sure to check with the Financial Aid Office in NG013 to see how you withdrawing will affect your financial aid.
You can either do this at the Office of the Registrar in NG015, or withdraw on CUNYFirst. Here are the directions.
