1.3.4: Complex Rational Expressions
1.3.3: Adding and Subtracting Rational Expressions
Hello class,
This is just a reminder that your 2nd test will be on Friday, March 21, 2025. You will not receive a test paper unless you submit your cell phone and smartwatch (if you have one).
You will not be allowed to use a calculator.
I am enclosing a sample test (Note: it has been updated) for you to work on in preparation for the test. It is by no means comprehensive and it is not the same as the test. Some things might get moved around /altered in the process. (Note: You’d be surprised how many of your classmates will think that this is actually the test, but it’s not).

*Be sure to read the below statement before answering the poll.*
Hello class,
I have been reminded that your mid-semester grades have to be in by March 21. This is important because the last day for an official withdrawal from the class is April 1st. But, at least we have a week to figure out what is going on with our status in the class.
Unfortunately, I do believe it is perhaps too close to our previous test. That being said, the test needs to be done so that you have an absolutely clear picture of your status within the class.
I do believe that a unit will be finished on Wednesday the 19th, so that we can take the test on March 21.
If you prefer to take the test on the March 24th, remember that I will have less time to grade and you will have less time to process all the information that I must give you as a result. Plus, I will use March 21st as a day to start a new topic and I will most definitely add questions relevant to the topic as part of the test.
So please answer the poll question.
Best,
Professor Lee
