Highkey vs Lowkey

Today in class we learned the difference between Highkey light and lowkey light. One of the major differences about these two types of photography strategies are the difference between light and shadow. A dark image will leave you with a simple out and a highkey picture will leave you with a bright image with shadows that arent too bright.

Motion Photography

So today in class, we learned about motion photography. It’s pretty simple and complex at the same time. In other words, you become a magician and stop time with your camera but there’s a certain way you have to follow to achieve this. Motion photography is a pretty dope thing to shoot. The shots that i’m presenting today are my personal favorites because it shows what it means to stop time.

LL4 Flash/Ambient

This week we worked with both ambient light and a flash light. I really enjoyed working with the flash. The flash creates a more dramatic photo. We tried to focus the ambient light on the background and used the flash for a more dramatic look on our subjects. I feel that working with the flash actually made it easier to create a more interesting image.

Indoor Light

The first picture I used the made use of the blue light being cast from on of the monitors in the hallway. The second picture I noticed the light coming from the bathroom to be giving off warm colors compared to the cool colors of the hallway. For the third picture I used the light from my phone to cast shadows throughout this sculpture.
