These are the pictures that I have selected all of them use the flash on them. In the first one we set the shutter speed at 15 or 20 seconds because of previous pictures taken. The light was in the front of the lens and just eyeballing. The second one we left the shutter at 20 seconds in order to have time to create the double exposure and have Fernanda in a different position. As well as use one of the lights to create a image that blends in. Lastly, a frame within a frame, using the same technique for the first image. It took some trial and error to create this one, having LJ moving further back and zooming out in order to not block his face was the solution to get this shot.

Learning Log #5 – Light Painting
Learning log week 6
This photo was taken with the light being wrapped around the arms with a single exposure, still subject and flash and 10 second shutter.
This photo was taken with 3-4 multiple flash exposures while subject was moving and the light was moving with him.
This photo was taken with the led light moving behind the two subjects standing still with no flash exposure so the subjects are silhouettes.
Learning log #5
To achieve the photographs that were captured, we had to set the ISO to 100 since we were shooting in an extremely dark environment, the aperture to 14, the shutter speed to more than 15 seconds and adjust the focus to make the picture sharp and set it to manual to keep it stuck there. While shooting, at first we were just using shutters speeds of around five to ten seconds, but it was to short. so we had to change it to 15 through 20 seconds. Also, we had to change the position of the person who was holding the flash because sometimes the photographs didn’t show the model’s face or body so we had the person move closer and move the flash higher, too. Lastly, we found out that initially moving the light to fast didn’t produce the best result so we moved the lights slower and got a better photograph.
This is one of the best new technique that I learned today . I like liked how we can frozen more than one shoot in the same photo by flashing the flash light after adjusting the seating of the camera IOS TO 100 Since we are shooting in an extremely dark environment. the aperture was 13, the shutter second was 15 seconds .Also we changed it to 15 through 20 seconds. Also, we had to change the position of the person who was holding the flash because sometimes the photographs didn’t show the model’s face or body same as the position of the model front of the camera.
Learning log #5
This was by far the most enjoyable class session. At first I was not sure of what settings the photos were supposed to be taken at because they would come out either blurry or the subject was just not in the shot. Then my group and I realized that the reason was because the light was not going off at the right moment. The light had to be flashed right after the image was shot. Then we realized that the image still wouldn’t come out, so we had fix the settings one more time and we decreased the shutter speed. The ISO remained the same at 100. We did double exposure multiple times and even though we did not get it right away, when we did we created great images in several colors using the gels. The shutter speed we used was 10, 13 and when we needed to create double exposure, we used 15 seconds so the subject could have time to move and draw with the light. My favorite part was when we created the silhouette with the LED stick the professor had.
