For my final project I will be doing The Tortoise and the Hare. I will have both of my friends dress up as a bunny and a turtle. I will recreate the concept of the story in a real life scenario. Take about 10 pictures and a few close ups and low angles shots to make the bunny feel superior. The settings will take place on a race track in a park.

Here are my 2 best-recreated photos. The first ones recreating Audrey Hepburn were actually hard because  I used myself as a model. It was hard to try and catch top light in my apartment to achieve some shadow under my neck. Also, it’s just harder taking a picture without looking and focusing on one facial expression. The one I recreated of Macauley Culkin with my son was really fun because Home Alone is one of our favorite holiday movies. I was only able to use split lighting, due to light placement and trying to use a white wall, to catch some shadow on one side of the face. I had to use a lot of direction to catch the exact expression and pose, overall I think I captured some good shots.

Taking pictures for me was very interesting. I tried to be different a bring letters for DIY decor. There was some difficulty with keeping them up but Galick helped with taping them down. I like the reflection that was cast of the letters in the area with a lighter background with window lighting. I think my darker background images came out better with the help of highlights and shadows coming from the light being placed above the products. Thanks Briana for the extra beauty products!!

For my final project, I decided to do a Nightmare before Christmas story. I’ll have my friend dress up as Jack Skellington. I’m going to recreate the scene where Jack went to a forest with trees that has different doors. I might have to photoshop the doors for the trees. During dusk, we will go to the park to act as the forest. Then, we go to Rockefeller Center at night and take a couple of pictures around the big Christmas trees and maybe inside the FAO Schwarz store.

I will be recreating the English fairy tale “Jack and the Beanstalk”, I will have one of my friends pose as Jack, I will be excluding the giant and emphasizing on Jack, I will also be using perspective to show the size of Jack and the growth of the Bean. I think this will be a very fun photo shoot.

My final project is going to be based on jack and the beanstalk. I will take photos of when jacks mother tells him to sell his lizard/snake for money for food. Then I will take photos of when the old man is telling jack about the magic beans. After, I will take a close up shot of jack holding the beans in his hand to show that he sold the animal for them. As well as other photos I will take when jack plants the seed and the beanstalk grows and grows.
