With more than 40 locations in the world, Eataly in the Flatiron district located on 200 5th avenue, provides New York City locals and tourist a diverse selection of Italian meat, cheeses, fish, dry goods, and even a few wonderful restaurants that can satisfy anyone’s Italian cravings. Senses of taste, sight, touch, smell, and sounds will be stimulated to its max due to Eataly’s amazing hustle and bustle energy. From imported coffees with amazing aroma, dry pastas of every shape imaginable, fresh pastas made and packaged in house, langostines the size of small lobsters, to bottarga, Italian salted and cured fish roes, both tourists, chefs, and locals can come here to purchase anything that can be offered in an authentic Italian market. Getting tired of walking around and browsing? Aside from the plethora of Italian goodies that can be purchased, under this one roof, Eataly offers sit down service for wine and antipasti, pizzas and pastas, and fresh seafood. Too time consuming to sit down and eat? There are many sampling stations that can satisfy your craving with cheeses, breads, and meats! I tried a cheese and prosciutto combination for free which made me crave the delicate cured meats that Italians are so known for. Eataly is definitely a place to stop by to tingle your senses and diversify your mind of what Italy can offer. Although the price point may be high due to the cost of importing and rarity of certain products, it’s an amazing time to stop by as they just started a September sale month! Luckily I managed to snag some on sale bucatini (from $10 to $5!) that I have not been able to find in any local supermarkets. A fantastic shopping experience with fun surprises!

My first impression of Eataly is that it is much bigger than I expected. I thought it would be a shop with a small dining area for tastings rather than the size of a supermarket. As you walk through the paths, you will notice several tastings of their products such as focaccia and prosciutto di parma. The focaccia was delicious with a balance of saltiness and the neutral flavor of the mozzarella cutting through the salt. The mozzarella cheese also helped mask the acidity of the tomatoes from the sauce. However, I did not enjoy the texture as much. The focaccia was drenched in oil making the crust really soggy. Just like the focaccia, the prosciutto di parma had a well balance of saltiness and creaminess from the cheese. Overall, my experience was great and I would like to go back and spend more time on my own to explore their products.

Eataly was a very impressive place. It is located at 23rd Street between 5th and 6th Avenue. It had 6 restaurants which all looked very elegant and inviting. There was also 4 “Quick Bites” places which also looked good. There was also 6 “Fresh Counters” which ran the gamut from a butcher shop, to cheeses, pasta, fish as well as a fresh produce section. Eataly also had 6 “Sweets and Cafes” which mostly consisted of coffee and of course desserts. There was also a very nice wine shop but it was rather expensive. I had a great experience and plan on taking friends or a date there some time soon. It was really one of the nicest places I’ve been to in a while and though I live in Manhattan I had never heard of it before. The only downside I would say was the prices were rather high. Outside of that it was a great experience which I would suggest to anyone. It was also right by the Farmers Market which is right at the Union Square station which make Eataly very convenient to get too. I would deffinetly give it a very high rating.

If you ever in the Flat Iron Distinct highly recommend that you go to Eataly located at 23rd Street between 5th and 6th Avenue. As you walk in, it can be overwhelming at first because there is alot of traffic from tourists to workers walking around. They have fresh produce along with 6 mini cafe and desserts shops, and fresh fish. Coming to Eataly would be killing two birds with one stone because you can browse and shop for fun kitchen item or you can dine in and have delicious pasta from one of their restaurants. Overall my experience was fun, as long I live in New York never heard of this place, it was eye opener for me. Only thing I would say some of their items were a little pricey for example I discover a small bottle of olive oil for 40 dollars . If you can afford it why not live a little.

Eataly is a foodie’s paradise. The minute you enter doors of the Italy Market Place, Eataly, you’re welcome by brewing smells of roasted coffee and the pastel colors of the Gelato Ice cream. If you managed to pass temptation in the beginning, another haunting pleasure awaits as you walk further down, passing by counters of delicate chocolates. Once those demons has been fought off, the real devil is in the In-House restaurant Eataly has to offer. Having 6 restaurant to chose from and a powerhouse of imported Italians goods, Eataly can be seen as a foodie heaven-or a weight watchers hell with all the goodies Eataly has to offer!

Eataly is the must place to go for food lover, whether you are a New Yorker or visiting NYC. They positioning themselves as an Italian gem of New York City, by Eataly they mean Eating Italian. At the beginning I thought that this market offers only Italian products, but I found many items that were imported from other Mediterranean countries, such as Spain, Greece and Morocco. there are six restaurants through out the market that offering fresh dishes that can accommodate any food preferences from steaks that are aged in the special age boxes right in the middle of dining room to fresh seafood which you can see right in front of you on ice. I have visited this place for 4 times and will keep returning there with friends and loved ones either on a special occasions for a fancy dinner or for a quick bite on a day off.
