On Thursday, my classmates and I went to the Chellsea Market. It was our second time going and this time around I got to explore more of the Chellsea Market than the first time around. We first went to the Meat market. Inside the butcher gave us a detailed explaination about what was important and need to know about the meat market. The meat market only sells pork,lamb,beef and chicken. He also taught us various ways in which the meat was cut up and where the meat was coming from.
We then went inside the fish market. Inside of the fish market they didn’t really talk much. They was a good amount of different types of fish. They also had shrimp,lobsters,and sushi. I saw a fish that I’ve never seen before. I thought that was cool, the guy even allowed us to take picture of it.
We then went over to Bon Italia. Inside of Bon Italia we came across different types of ingredients. We were on a scavanger hunt looking for ingredients we didn’t know. So my partner and I were looking at ingredients we didn’t know can go on certain foods or drinks. For example, my partner didn’t know nutmeg can go inside of coffee. So we ended up choosing nutmeg as one of our ingredients.
We then went to the vegetable market. In there we found a various amount of produce and coffee. They all looked so fresh and good to purchase. I came across asparagus that was also a vegetable that I’ve never tasted or seen before. I pictured it to look like something else. It reminded me of scallion and a cactus plant put together.
Overall, the Chellsea market was a great experience. I did learn alot during this trip. I never knew about the chellsea market and I would recommend it to anybody that loves their food or ingredients fresh.Print this page
