About me

I have always loved exploring and experiencing images and words, but had long ago decided that a career as a graphic designer was for someone who draws expertly, who can produce hyper realistic images on the spot, from memory, from observation in real time or from their imagination and do it all quickly and confidently.

Since then, a series of life’s events aligned to bring me to City Tech. I initially planned only a semester to get an introduction to Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. In the process, I found additional courses that reinvigorated my interest in graphic design. I reevaluated my ability to communicate as an artist.

A few of my NYCCT design projects can be seen here:  [restricted access link]

I am now a City Tech Communications Design sophomore with an additional interest in professional and technical writing, a new area of study first offered in 2015 at City Tech.  NYCCT is the only CUNY school where this program is currently offered.

Another of my interests is architecture but only as a spectator not as a potential student. Three of the artists in this field whose work I especially admire are: Zaha Hadid, Sarah Susanka, and Frank Lloyd Wright.  I reluctantly offer the predictable Wikipedia site link for Dame Hadid as an introduction to her many accomplishments and amazing structures.
