Notes about Final Presentation –

All of your presentations from Friday have been graded.  These grades will be reviewed and modified when I receive updated presentations from your group.  These are due on Sunday by 6pm – no later.

Please read the comments I made for each of your groups.  One group did not give me their presentation so my comments for them were more limited.

Overall the work was not what I had hoped four.  As a general comment to all, the work did not go into as much depth or detail as a semester long group project should.  Additionally I will repeat my earlier comments that each group needs to focus on solutions that are based on the focus of your group, zoning needs to address zoning, history addresses history, etc.  This is critical.

Every group must upload by Sunday.  If I do not receive the updated final presentation the group grades will remain as they are currently posted. Every group can change this current grade if they read the comments and respond accordingly.

The one group that did not provide their presentation must upload a final presentation by Sunday or their grade will be lowered.

All uploads are within blackboard.

Email me if you have questions.

Sustainability Received Received
Circulation Received Received
This presentation effort requires each of you to work simultaneously on three levels at once – and all three are important:

  • 1- You are responsible to yourself – you must clearly state what you are working on – and complete this work for yourself and for your team. Each of you must have a clearly defined set of responsibilities for the final project.
  • 2- You are responsible to your team – you must make yourself available to your team, you must meet with them and respond to emails, etc. You must provide answers to questions from teammates on a timely manner since they may require your information to complete their own work.
  • 3- Your are responsible to the class – you and your team need to keep in mind that this is a class presentation with sections of responsibility based on your team (Climate, Sustainability, etc.).
  • Each team was asked to submit an outline to me by Friday so I could share this with the entire class.  About 50% of you have note responded.  The other teams (in particular the circulation group) need this information information for their own work. You must work as a class to create consistent professional graphics.
  • To this end you must use the template power point provided at the beginning of the semester.  You should see the work of the class as creating a book formatted 11 x 17.Each team should view their cover sheet as the first page of their chapter.
  • You can change the look of the cover page area to the right as long as you keep the border on the left margin – consider a different color etc.Your presentation must use the menu system I created on the left size – to be clear you should not use my headings or titles but headings and titles that match your team outline.

Grades and Missing Assignments

A couple of notes –

There is still time to improve your final grade – so please make the effort. There will be a quiz this Friday – this one will be take home. I will also be re-issuing the sun shadow study homework so that you can again raise your grades.

Also very important note for the afternoon section. Blackboard was incorrectly calculating your first quiz on a basis of 1 to 20 instead of 1 to 100. So a grade on this quiz of 20 – was actually a grade of 100 !!!! This has been corrected – each of your original scores has been multiplied by 5.

Last please check your blackboard – and see that you have a grade for every assignment and quiz. The exception at this point is the individual observation assignments and the take home topographic assignment that I am currently grading. If you are missing anything – you must provide it to me by Friday – no later.
