Waking up with an appointment in the city today, I got out of bed extremely later than what I was supposed to. I managed to scramble around my house and get ready with only being late by 10 minutes compared to the huge gap I would’ve had. I usually see the same faces around the time I was heading out but noticed I saw a completely different set of people, some of which I haven’t seen in months. Being at the bus stop is where I initially came to this realization but after my ride, heading to the train station is really where I saw the big difference. It’s very uncommon for me not see the same faces, especially when I follow a routine set at the same time. But during this ride I saw people I’ve never seen before in my life, which was every single person. A small difference of 10 minutes made me realize I can encounter a completely different world of people.
