Today as I walked through Grand Central Station on my way to my first day of my “internship” (a pre-internship workshop/mentorship), I was able to see all of the commuters coming in from other places, as well as fellow NYers just making their way to work or school. It felt quite like a movie honestly, part of that is probably due to the kind of weather we were having today (semi-cloudy, a bit misty).
Today felt like a scene right out of a film, like a montage almost. It has been a while since I’ve seen the city look this way, and it has been a long time since I’ve felt this way about it – optimistic, to put it simply. I noticed how bustling the streets were, and the station itself, as I arrived and as I left at a later point in the day. It’s something I think I have also missed and had not realized that I even did before today.
