Typical Day

For a typical day at the job I usually get there at 9:00 AM, sometimes a little later because they are flexible. Work also doesn’t really start until 9:30-10 AM. I usually get a bagel and dunking donuts iced coffee from the downstairs mini store to start off work. I then sit at my desk and sign in. I usually wait until my boss meets us to give us the starting assignments. Sometimes if his too busy he’ll email us. After meeting him I start my beginning project. It varies sometimes from mechanics for the stadiums, billboards, graphics for stadiums, mockups, and etc. The other interns and I usually help each other and collaborate. We also have side bar conversations. Sometimes the other designers come to us for mounting help and cutting assistance. We also collaborate with them as well.

While doing my first project, my boss will sometimes send me other projects. Some are more important than what I’m doing, others I do after my first project. I will usually do a project or two until lunch, which I take between 1:00-2:00 PM. I might be juggling more than two projects sometimes. For lunch I go to any of the local places that’s around. After eating in the lunch room, I go back to working. My boss sometimes gives me the new assignment before lunch, or after. I work on that until the end of the day, or he might give me others. I usually finish at 5. When I stay late it could be until 9 PM. Recently the latest it’s been is around 7 PM.
