Girlfriend’s Exhibit

Around a month ago I went to my girlfriend’s exhibit where she had work hanged up. It was an awesome experience. There were food, drinks, and decent music. More importantly there were other creatives in the room. Many were painters, photographers, and designers. The other pieces people put up were pretty good. The atmosphere was really welcoming and relaxing. It was also really packed after a certain point.

As my girlfriend started networking because it was her exhibit, and other people were interested in buying her pieces, I decided to also start networking. I started talking to the other artists and started feeling out some of them. I met a photographer called Angel and a painter who named Ashley. Angel specializes in street and gritty photography. He also does conceptual pieces by doing this interesting photoshop reflection technique. We exchanged numbers and Instagram accounts. I like meeting photographers because in the future, I know I’m going to have to work with them. Ashley is an awesome painter who focuses on modern impressionism. She is really good and I thought her concepts and art itself was great. We exchanged only Instagram accounts because I didn’t think we needed to exchange numbers. My girlfriend was also there. I also like meeting new artists because you never know which concept could use an outside artist.
