Internships are the bridge from classroom theory to practical industry experience. To me, internships are the most important portion of a student’s academic career.  The credential are just as important, however, without the experience to back-up the knowledge it makes it all the more difficult to sell-yourself in a competitive job market. I recall having a career-development professor say to the class, “you should have at least three internships under your belt during your undergraduate education”. The professor emphasized to a great extent, how essential it is to have internship experiences.

On that note, I’m looking forward to three upcoming internship opportunities. two are required to earn my Bachelors of Science in education and the other one is through the university:

  • Internship in career and technical education
  • Student teaching
  • CUNY Service Corps
