At my internship, I’ve learned that social media and outreach can often feel like a rinse and repeat process. There are times when the content we post doesn’t gain much traction, and that can be discouraging. But what I’ve realized—thanks to the mentorship I’ve received—is that consistency and flexibility are key. One post might fall flat, but the next could really connect with our audience. The important thing is to keep showing up, learning from the feedback, and adapting our approach.
What’s helped me stay motivated through these ups and downs is my supervisor, who has naturally become a mentor to me. He’s shown me how to balance creative strategy with patience, how to shift directions without losing momentum, and how to keep the bigger picture in mind even when results don’t come instantly. He always reminds me that design and branding are a long game—and that small adjustments can lead to big improvements over time.
Watching how he handles challenges, encourages experimentation, and gives thoughtful feedback has had a huge impact on me. It’s not just about the work—it’s about the mindset. I now understand how valuable it is to have someone who not only guides your creative growth, but also sets an example of professionalism and resilience.
