At my internship, one of the most rewarding collaborative projects I worked on involved preparing for the launch of a new watch collection while promoting our boutique’s presence on social media. With new styles rolling out and a lot of competition from other boutiques and retailers, we needed to find a way to stand out. Our team decided to focus on building a stronger connection with the local community through Instagram, not just by showcasing products, but by highlighting what makes our location unique.
The successful part of the project was how smoothly we worked together to that made it felt authentic and engaging. I helped edit images, while the others help with show casing and reaching out to clients. The content we produced received higher engagement than usual, and a few community members even stopped by the boutique after seeing our posts.
What didn’t go as smoothly was timing—at first, we struggled to align everyone’s schedules for content approval and had to make some last-minute edits under pressure. It taught me the importance of building in buffer time and having a streamlined feedback process.
Overall, the project was a great example of how collaboration across different roles can bring and how design is just one piece of a larger storytelling effort.
