Finding the Internship

Searching for an internship was an interesting journey, full of learning experiences. I was excited to apply to various opportunities, carefully putting together my resume and portfolio to showcase my skills. I sent out many applications, eager to hear back. However, as time passed, I realized the process required more patience than I expected. Some companies didn’t respond, while others sent polite rejections. Though it was a little discouraging at times, I reminded myself that every step was bringing me closer to the right opportunity.

At first, I wasn’t sure what I could do differently. I wondered if I needed to improve my portfolio or refine my applications. Despite the waiting, I stayed motivated and continued applying. I also started looking for advice, knowing that learning from others could help me navigate the process better. The experience taught me resilience, and I learned to see each application as a chance to grow rather than just a means to an end.

Just when I was starting to feel unsure about my next steps, I reached out to my professor for guidance. They were incredibly supportive and reassured me that finding an internship takes time. Instead of just offering encouragement, my professor sent me a list of internship sites and resources to explore.I finally heard back from one company that was interested in my application. It was an exciting moment that reminded me how valuable it is to seek advice and keep pushing forward.
