Subject: Geothermal Energy using volcanoes

Introduction:
Now a day, we don’t depend on water just to make electricity. Engineers and scientist have discovered different types of sources to get electricity. We can use the sun, wind, heat, etc. to perform electricity plants. “Every hour the sun beams onto Earth more than enough energy to satisfy global energy needs for an entire year. Today, the technology produces less than one tenth of one percent of global energy demand.” Using the solar energy will be very efficient because the sun never disappears. This new technology is still on research and it might take a few months, maybe years to make it work 100%. In order to get wind energy, we need windy cities. Heat energy can be very efficient because we can find heat inside the earth. This technology is called Geothermal Energy.

What is Geothermal Energy?
Geothermal Energy is energy formed by heat inside the earth’s crust. This energy inside the earth crust is energy absorbed from the sun’s radiation. The ground absorbs 46% of the sun’s energy, 19% is absorbed by water vapor dust, 17% is reflected by clouds, 6% is reflected by surface and 4% is absorbed by clouds.

Details on how this technology works:
The Geothermal Energy works by drilling the earth about 5000 meters down and at that level, the temperature will be about 170º degrees Celsius. We will harness this energy by constructing water recycling system that forces water down through the pipes of 5000 meters and force up steam at a higher temperature. This steam will be used to rotate the turbines, which will produce electrical energy.

Idea for better usages of Geothermal Energy:
Imagine using this technology nearest volcanoes. Where the temperature will be much higher and more steam will push up to the turbines to generate electricity. The temperature will increase from 400º degrees Celsius over to 1000º degrees Celsius. Instead of using clean water, we can use the drain water of the village to go close enough to the volcano to produce steam. Since we are using the soiled water, the rest of it will vanish from the highest temperature that volcanoes produce.

Benefits:
This idea will be very helpful not just to stop contaminating the seas and rivers but also to have a better environment. Taking advantage of volcanoes to get new source of energy, will save you money and we are protecting the environment. If buildings, houses and companies use the Geothermal Energy, people will be paying less money for their heating, water and electricity bill. This technology is safer than nuclear energy because nuclear energy produces radiation and it can be very harmful for the humanity. Cities that have volcanoes can benefit mostly from this idea.

In this portfolio, I’m presenting an idea on how to harness energy using Volcanoes. This document has strong features explaining What is Geothermal Energy. The challenge I overcame was how to create a proposal to a company to show how capable my idea was to be considered for an investment.
