these are sketch of the battery park city pavilion. the pavilion uses columns to hold up its structure. four thick inner columns made of bricks and twelve thin outer columns made of wood with a base made of stone and ornamental pieces at the top of each. the pavilion has a total of eight steps. there are three large steps at the very base of the pavilion and five smaller steps inside. there are wooden beams that make up the structure of the roof of the pavilion. in total there are thirty-six beams, eight on each side and four corner beams.
