Teaching Improvement Activities

Over the last few years, I have been collaborating with other professors in our department on teaching.  With a major curriculum change, many of our course hours were increased, thus causing issues with workload.  One solution I found was co-teaching studios.  Studios are usually eight hours, so I could teach one course on my own, and split one with another professor, thus giving us both our twelve hours.  At first this was done out of a balance of workload, but it became one of the best improvement for myself.  I was able to see how other professors teach and interact within the classroom.  There were another set of eyes to look over assignments, presentations and course materials.  The building of ideas among two professors became the best learning improvement in my teaching experience.
