This week we’re shifting gears to another potential project, a short animation featuring a cartoonishly humanoid deer, as suggested by our texturer/designer Kassandra. The setting is very indicative of games from the past like Crash Bandicoot or Spyro the Dragon, which I found peculiar since Mike had said earlier video game parodies were something he wanted to stray away from. Perhaps he’d changed his mind?
Anyway, I’m more than happy to shift gears since work on the VR project has somewhat slowed due to our inexperience. Mike contacted some friends of his who have more experience in this sort of thing, but we’re mostly grasping at straws. That’s why I’m so eager to hop on this other project, since modeling is something I know best.
