The ReDistricting Game is a very informative/strategy type of game. It educates people about how politicians use their strategy to get votes. I think that this game gives people a little understanding about how the government runs. I played mission 1 and it’s about fundamentals. The main goal of this mission is to redistrict the map so that the state legislature, the state governor and state courts approve of my decision. The key task of the game was to establish population equality within the state the politicians are running in.

When I first played the game, it was pretty confusing, probably because of how the structure of the game and instructions was shown. But, after playing the game awhile, I kind of got the hang of it and the game became more challenging mission after mission. I am not going to lie and say that I loved the game, but the game got pretty boring, especially because I couldn’t beat it. I had a hard time achieving the set goals for some missions and it was really frustrating that the people do not pass my decision, even though all the politicians already have a check next to their name.

Overall, this game is great for those who are really into politics and want to learn a little more about how politicians plan out how they will be getting their votes based on the place they will be running at. I would say that this game is very interesting and very informative.
