Tutorial I used for this project –

Using this tutorial, I learned how to create a basic FPS. This video is really easy for anyone to follow and understand. I did not get to finish all 30 videos. I would continue to finish it after and make a cool game. A new thing that I learned was Animation. I never did animation in unity before. This tutorial showed me how easy it is. The challenging thing about this tutorial was that the dude was doing the scripts in JavaScript. Lucky for me, people were posting the code for C# in the comments. But it had errors when putting it in unity. So I had to figure how to make it work.

I got bored so I did the room different from the tutorial. I added Toy Tanks and military style beds. I went with Military Theme for this room.

Reaktion Project

Here’s is my attempt at the audio reaktor assignment. I went with two different trail texture. I was thinking about using the ‘LoadSceneAfterXSeconds’ script but I liked both trails starting at the same time.

Donna Haraway’s A Cyborg Manifesto

In Haraway’s “A Cyborg Manifesto” she starts off by saying she wants this essay to be a political myth faithful both to feminism and materialism. She define cyborg as a cybernetic organism, a hybrid of machine and organism, a creature of lived social reality, and last a creature of fiction. Haraway says that cyborg will change what counts as experience for women in the late twentieth century. Haraway alludes to the cyborg as monsters, but she hints the cyborg is a figure that show promise for feminism.

Week 4 – Mapping Exercise

This is my flowchart of cleaning my room. I start by folding blankets and any clothes lay around in my room. Then I see which ones are dirty, so I put them in the hamper. Then I start making the bed. After that I move on to my desk, start organizing that. While doing all these steps, I’m always throwing all the trash on the floor. And the last step I sweep the floor.

Week 4 – Cybernetics & System Thinking

Cybernetics comes from the Greek word meaning to steer or to pilot. In the video he also mention that it’s a spiral, you advance, you go forward. Which mean that someone will do something, analyze it, then steer yourself to the goal you want achieve. And this feedback is what cybernetics is. “Setting goals and questioning those goals is something that cybernetics lets someone do consciously and explicitly”.
