How do teachers figure out your grade??!!!

What?!!!!!!

How did Prof. Stewart get the score for my Sanitation quiz ? Quiz #1 was worth 5 points out of a class total of 100 points. But there were 20 questions on the quiz. How did she find the right number?!

Do you know about the conversion factor?

To find your conversion factor…….

So the OLD is the 20 points that were on the quiz.

The NEW is the 5 that I am looking for.

So…

5 divided by 20= .25

My conversion factor is .25

Now I use the formula

CF x OLD AMOUNT = NEW AMOUNT

So if you got all 20 questions right I would do this…. 20 x .25 = 5

If you got 19 questions right I would do this…19x.25= 4.75

Etc.………

See, I am using MATH in real life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
