  1. Remember the outdated definition of information literacy circa 1989? I came across another definition from the High-Level Colloquium on Information Literacy and Lifelong
Learning, held in 2005 at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Alexandria, Egypt:
Information literacy empowers people in all walks of life to seek, evaluate, use and create information effectively to achieve their personal, social, occupational and educational goals. It is a basic human right in a digital world and promotes social inclusion in all nations. – Alexandria Proclamation on Information Literacy and Lifelong Learning, 2005 (see p. 3 of this document: https://www.ifla.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/assets/information-literacy/publications/high-level-colloquium-2005.pdf)
