Marla, is a freelance designer, and is often swamped with billing her clients. In the couple of weeks I started interning under her, I’ve learned that the hardest part in dealing with clients is getting your money. Often, Marla would have to go to their stores physically to retrieve the money. If she doesn’t the client would not pay up.
Marla is also receiving calls from her clients and on the phone talking to them constantly. She has to “be nice” to them even on days that she is super busy and can’t stick around to chit chat. I started feeling bad for her on the days she can’t just drop the call.
