How to minimize exposures to Hormone disrupters

According to the NYTimes, Peri Klass, M.D. reports that there are four categories of things that are exposed to us and can be detrimental to our health. The four categories are things that have pesticides (produce), phthalates in cosmetics and personal care, food packaging, and flame retardants in electronics, furnitures, and mattresses. There are evidence that exposure to these things can affect the hormonal balance in our bodies, interfering with sexual maturity, fertility, and even more.

Canned food, food wrapped in plastic, and food with a lot of additives should be avoided. Exposure to home cleaning chemicals may be detrimental and there are ways to make cleaning products at home with vinegar, baking soda, and lemon, that have less chemicals and can even be cost effective.
