Reyon’s report card started to look like the interstate highway speed limit. He graduated middle school and was accepted into Louis D Brandeis high School. He started off strong and then after a while of being too socially involved, it was back to doing the interstate speed limit. still having the wit and charisma that Carried him through middle school, Reyon excelled socially but soon fell behind academically. He went from receiving high honor certificates to promotion in doubt letters. It was time for a change. Something had to give.
Reyon started putting in tons extra hours in his assignments and studies. The turning point at last. It began to show. Astonished teachers sang his praises as he rose to the top. And on June 26th 2011, it all paid off. It was a bright sunny day at Columbia university’s beautiful auditorium where it seemed as if his name echoed through the room in a melodious hum. Reyon Gittens. Cheers bellowed from the crowd as he made his way to the stage. He did it. He graduated. In spite of all that went wrong, he pulled through. And now it was time for the last leg of the race. Reyon was accepted into New York City College of Technology where he decided to major in Hospitality Management.
His goal in this major is to excel in culinary arts and receive the qualifications and truing to be the owner, proprietor and chef of his very own restaurant. And with a little extra effort like the one needed to make it through high school, Reyon will succeed.
