HMGT City Tech Home Page

The HMGT City Tech home page contains a lot of useful information like degree requirements and a sample course of study. Review the resources page to learn about clubs and study abroad programs which offer valuable experiences to enhance your education.

HMGT Academic Advising

Find your advisor by visiting the City Tech Academic Advising page and scrolling down to “Hospitality Management”. When contacting an advisor, students should include their name, emplid and the reason you would like to meet (example “question about clubs” or “what resources are available to improve my public speaking skills” or “assistance with course selection”).

Visit and join the HMGT Academic Advising Site, the site is designed to help students plan their path to graduation. You can even get to know HMGT faculty advisors before your meeting.

HMGT Library Guides

Hospitality Management Library Guides will help students find success when planning for and writing research papers. On the site you will find course specific guides and a general HMGT guide as well. In addition to the library guides, students can access a librarian 24 hours a day using the “ask a librarian” feature and librarians are also available by appointment.

Research papers in the Department of Hospitality Management are to be written using APA standards. Students can develop research strategies, find relevant information and gain other research skills by making an appointment with a librarian.

HMGT Uniform and Equipment Information

HMGT students, faculty, and staff are expected to be in full uniform when in the HMGT labs. The uniform standards guide outlines proper appearance, sanitation concerns and washing techniques. Students can purchase the uniform, and tool kit as well, from the City Tech book store, make sure to know your course and section number before placing your order.

Students may be expected to dress in professional business attire for oral presentations, networking events and field trips. Ask your teach for additional information about professional business attire.
