ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

I have been teaching history at CUNY for the last eight years. I started with face to face class settings, and now – online. My area of research are the late Ottoman and late Russian interactions in the Danube/Black Sea region – a region that is in international focus. I am specifically interested in the politics of memory that stem from past events in this region, and how they are currently expressed in online.

My academic background includes studies at the University of London, where I received a B.D. degree, graduate studies at The New School, where I earned an M.S. degree, and currently I am engaged in doctoral research at Rutgers.
