Psychophysiology was a very interesting lab. We learned that for some people writing about their traumatic experience was very helpful emotionally. The lab consisted of electrodes,to monitor your heart rate. The first part of the lab was sticking the electrodes on your body, the second part was relaxing to the sound of the waves. The third part of this lab was writing. The first writing part was about typing how your day went yesterday, the second writing part was about telling a traumatic experience that happened in your life. Lastly the third writing part was to write about a traumatic experience that had a positive outcome. While this is going on the tech operator and the interfacer, watches how the person reacts to the experience through their heart rate and cameras that they have around.
