Professional Nursing Practice
I am currently a registered nurse employed with Health and Hospitals Corporation in New York, the largest hospital entity in the country. I am also a student, pursuing my BSN degree in the field of nursing. I hope to enhance my education by studying more about geriatric and diabetes prevention and management. Seeing that I am completing the Professional Nursing Practice course where the focus is on nursing issues across the nation, I am more aware of the issues that affect the nursing profession, e.g., staff shortage, violence in the workplace, and technology and safety. All nurses should be aware of the purpose of the Nurse Practice Act.
