14. Explain what deductive reasoning is and give an example.
Deductive reasoning, unlike inductive reasoning, is a valid form of proof.
When the sun shines, the grass grows. When the grass grows, it needs to be cut. The sun shines. With deductive reasoning for every time the sun shines and the grass grows, it needs to be cut.

Deductive Reasoning: Goes from general to specific. It is the method by conclusions that are drawn out by geometric proof and facts.
Examples: 1. If A=B, B=C, then A=C
2. Snakes are reptiles, reptiles are cold-blooded, therefore all snakes are cold-blooded.
Deductive Reasoning is a logical process in which a conclusion is based on the concordance of multiple premises that are generally assumed to be true.
There is a basket with 2 dollars.Then right next to that one has 4 dollars.what would be the amount of the next basket?
